It comes to us all usually at some stage in our lives and breaking up with your partner can be tricky and very difficult to handle. Those things that we all take for granted are always going to be shared, suddenly aren’t and whether it is waking up alone in the mornings, coming home to an empty house at night, eating alone, even shopping alone can seem upsetting and hard to contend with. In London, it can often seem even more daunting, as so many people seem to be alone and it might make you wonder if a new partner is ever going to surface.
The good news is, although we all recover differently and at a different rate of healing, time is a great healer and we do get there eventually. And don’t worry wanting to talk of them so much is natural and is part of the healing process, as we try to ‘wash that man (or woman) right out of our hair.’
Having talked to the experts however, here are 5 hints and tips to move on positively and without it impacting on your friends massively.
But the meantime – just enjoy having some fun in your life again.
