The BFI London Film Festival

This year’s London Film Festival runs from Wednesday, October 5 to Sunday, October 16. The British Musuem's Hieroglyphics Exhibition

Enjoy this fascinating, immersive experience in honour of the moment - 200 years ago - when a young Frenchman called Jean-Francois Champollion rushed into his brother’s room, shouting 'I’ve got it!', having worked out how to decipher ancient Egyptian writing. This is truly a unique date for those memerised by pivotal moments in ancient history. The exhibition runs from the 13th - 22nd October.

Othello at The National Theatre

For a night of drama and romance on a Shakespearean scale, see Clint Dyer's 'Othello' at the NT. This is the first National Theatre production of Othello to be led by a black director. Giles Terera will take the title role, with Rosy McEwen as Desdemona and Paul Hilton as the villainous Lago. The production runs from the 23rd November.
