It’s a question that many couples wonder about. Unfortunately, this isn’t an easy question to answer in terms of a specific time-frame because every couple is going to be different.
We have all seen the stories where some celebrity couple has gotten engaged after a month or even a few months together. Then there are people who don’t get engaged until they have been together for years. It really varies based on the couple.
So while there is no specific time frame to put on this question, there are some things you should be thinking about before ever deciding to propose to your partner.

Now these are not necessarily hard and fast rules that you should follow before you propose to your partner but we do think it’s a common sense guide to follow. After all, the decision to get married is not one you can take lightly. It is a big commitment and life decision.
However, if you can honestly say you meet the criteria mentioned above then you may be ready to propose to your partner. In the end it is up to you and your partner, and how you both feel about each other. Again, it comes down to honestly communicating with each other. If you can do all of that then you may be ready to get married.
